With the initiative of keeping in touch with their costumers during this extraordinary times, Architechnologies held their first progeCAD webinar entitled “Take your CAD Mastery to the Next Level”.
Key points discussed were about the best practices that you can do. From how you can organize drawings, modifying and costumizing your workspace, and to create your own CAD standards.
CAD Mastery to the Next Level was live, Aug 5,2020 from 2:00 Pm – 3:30 pm.
The Event highlight was the raffling off of one progeCAD professional 2020 Single license version to one of the attendees. In order to qualify for the raffle, they were requested to download a trial version of the software, like the ProgeCAD Philippines facebook page and Attend and finish the webinar.
After receiving his progeCAD license, we interviewed Ar. Adriel Ong with his experience, here are our questions and his answers to them.
1.) What were your initial thoughts when you knew that you’ve won the raffle prize?
Well at first, I did not really expect that I was going to win because I never thought that I was lucky enough when it comes to raffles. So I was really surprised when sir George called to inform me that I won. I was filled with joy upon hearing the news.
2.) Can you tell us what points that you like about the webinar? As an experienced designer using CAD, what other advice do you think you can add?
I actually learned a lot during the webinar! I strongly believe that we as humans never stop learning in life, whatever our age is learning is continuous, so I take every opportunity I get to learn something new or something more. So in this webinar I got to refresh or review what I already know about CAD drafting and of course I also got to learn more about a lot of new things that ProgeCAD offers.
One of the things I like the most is how easy it is to create and manage standards that can be used by anyone working on a certain project so that all the drawings would look uniform so that those who would read the drawing wouldn’t be confused. This includes blocks, attributes and groups.
Another is personalizing and customizing the ribbon and the settings of the program really helps me a lot to be more efficient in doing my work. I know these features are also present in other programs but I can see that using ProgeCAD makes it easier and more sustainable.
The only advice I think I could add is that we should always be open to learning and trying out new things, so that we can improve ourselves a lot more and to level up what we can contribute to the society.
3.) What does it mean for you to own a legitimate software?
I actually just passed the Architecture Licensure Examinations last January 2020 so owning lifetime license to a legitimate software is a really big thing for me. This gives me a tool that I can use to do better in my profession and to produce quality working drawings for my future projects.
Architechnologies is looking forward to holding more of the webinars and to continue to provide the service and commitment that the professionals in the Philippine AEC industry deserves.
